UIF claim approved SMS

If your UIF claim has been approved, you should receive an SMS notification from the Department of Employment and Labour. The SMS will typically contain information about the amount that has been approved and the payment date.

The exact wording of the SMS may vary, but it could look something like this:

“Your UIF claim has been approved. An amount of Rxxxx has been approved for payment. The payment will be made on dd/mm/yyyy. Please ensure that your banking details are up-to-date.”

If you have not received an SMS notification about your UIF claim, you can contact the UIF call center on 0800 843 843 to check the status of your claim.
